We go through a lot of days that we’d like to remember forever in our lifetimes. Some examples of treasured memories are your baby shower, bridal shower, your wedding, and many others, to be sure. My wedding books are some of the most treasured items in our home. The photo memory book of my wedding shower that my sister and my loved ones put on for me contains precious moments in it. It was a fantastic night, and there are plenty of photographs to prove it. I have shots of all the crazy stuff we got into that night, along with some of how gorgeous-looking the décor of the party was. The pictures we have really show just how outrageous that night became . We went to a spot where there were male dancers and snapped a few photos there. They knew how to work the crowd. That was my only foray into the world of exocitc dancers, and it was memorable. They weren’t the Chippendales, but they were really great to watch.
One of the items I personally chose to have was a nice memory book. We had no shortage of pictures to put in it. Actually, I had to get two of them to hold all of the pics. I ran out of space in the albums before the pictures were all filed. There were also pages for our guests signatures in one of the albums. We had my first initial and my husband’s first initial flanking the initial of our last name on the cover of our personalized memory books. The ribbon made of satin and the special fabric made the album have a very classy touch. Fortunately, you can add pages to them if you have to, which of course we did.
I have picture books for every major moment that I’ve lived through. The number of keepsake memory books I have will only go up since I hang on to them all. At the moment, I have books from my baby shower, wedding, and bachelorette party. My daughter will be three in a few days and my son is only one. Since we knew what we were having each time, I was able to order a pink book for her and a blue one for him. Their first step and christening and so forth are in the books. We have fingerprints, birth certificates, and regular pictures of them in the baby memory books. The shower and wedding albums contain one of the inviations that were sent out for each occasion as well. I could open up a photo gallery with all of the pictures I have stored away.
My husband complains all the time about the space these books take up on our closet shelf, but it’s like this, I want to hold on to all the great and special moments in our lives, and the best way to do this is through pictures. Of course, now I’m going to be shooting home videos on a camcorder that I recently purchased, so I’m focusing on making space on some shelving in the living room. So now, with the albums we have and the ones we will probably have in the future and all the videos I plan to record, I’m probably going to need a lot more room than originally planned. Well, a person needs to be able to go back in time every now and then, that’s just a part of who I am. These are the most precious years in a mothers life and I’m not letting anything get by me.
