Beautiful Hearts Wedding Favors!

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

What better way to say how much you love each other than to plan a beautiful wedding in the month of February, the month of love? That’s what I decided to do, have a ceremony and reception filled with one of the most adorned symbols of love throughout our ceremony and reception party. The first thing I bought was a gorgeous bridal tiara that I picked out over the Internet. There were many wonderful decorations and supplies to choose from, such as the favors I bought. The invitations I sent out were little cards with two little silver hearts on the front. The inside was very pretty to look at, and it had everything printed out in there already when we received them, so all we had to do was write in the place and time and we were all set.

First things first, I had to choose the invitations I wanted to mail out. I decided on invitations with lovely little hearts on the front, which were perfect for a hearts wedding ceremony. As soon as I got an answer from everyone, I started planning my decorations and looking for my accessories for both the ceremony and reception. I got so much for my wedding day at such a great savings that we were able to have enough money left to help out with our honeymoon plans. I found fantastic heart favors to use as thank you gifts for everyone. They really made a nice heart favor thank you gift that showed just how much we appreciated everyone who shared in the most important day of our life.

We had figured out what our young ring boy and flower girl and everyone else was going to wear. I picked out a white satin basket that had bows and lace decorating it for our flower girl. The rings also had a white satin ribbon on them, with a white pillow that had a gold double hearts wedding insignia on it for our ring bearer. I had a mini tiara for the flower girl to wear in her hair that looked very much like the one I ordered for myself. She wore a pretty pink dress, made for a flower girl, and she did such a wonderful job as a flower girl and looked so brilliant that I thought she did look like royalty. So did the ring boy, he was quite elegant in his little tuxedo with a red boutonniere in his lapel. He did his job of taking care of the rings marvelously, and he was in perfect harmony with the rest of the wedding ceremony. I was very glad that I chose to include both of them.

The centerpieces we had made up for the reception dinner had tiny hearts intermixed with roses that were white, pink, and red. On each of the reception tables were little two hearts wedding candles to set the romantic mood of the theme I had chosen, and at each setting was the nicest place cards and holders I could find. I ordered beautiful little silver bells with a heart shaped handle that make a very lovely keepsake from our wedding day for each of our guests. Every layer of our wedding cake was adorned with small red and pink roses, and the bottom section had tiny hearts running all the way around it. Our hearts wedding cake had a white porcelain topper on it that complimented the rest of our cake décor beautifully.

Our entire wedding day called to mind love and Valentine’s Day, filled with flowers and hearts galore. I’m just glad I had the internet to turn to, it made everything so much easier.

Brilliant heart wedding

The couple picked out a heart wedding for their choice of décor, and what they did with it was spectacular. From the invitations to the wedding favors everything had cute little hearts on it. The pretty hearts favors they sent out had a couple of silver hearts on the outside with the scheduling and contact information all printed so that it was right there when you opened it up. They were really quite beautiful. Even their unity candle for the ceremony had two little hearts hanging in front, and there were gorgeous candle holders for the unity candle and the tapered candles as well. The altar looked fabulous with all the lovely flower bouquets and the candle setting. They even had hearts hung on the end of each pew with the tulle draping from row to row. I guess when you get married on Valentine’s Day, hearts are really a big deal. I have to admit it was a beautiful ceremony and the bride was simply stunning.
The décor of the reception included a plethora of hearts and flowers. All the centerpieces were bouquets of gorgeous red and white roses, with little hearts sticking out of each one, and they had little silver hearts wedding place card holders at each table setting. The table settings glittered with glasses for wine and champagne. She really did do a bang up job on table décor They had their names and the date of the wedding inscribed on the wine glasses, and the champagne flutes were crystal. For the bride and groom, there were a couple of very richly adorned champagne glasses. They had a silver double hearts wedding insignia embossed on them, very similar to the hearts wedding invitation they sent out.
They had a five-layer hearts wedding cake that was really yummy. The cake was a dream for both the eyes and the stomach. Maybe the one place in the whole wedding where there wasn’t a heart was at the top of the cake, where they had a customized miniature replica of the bride and groom that looked exactly like them. That cake topper was one of a kind, and it was the first time I’ve ever seen something like that. She found it online at the same place she got the rest of the items she needed for her ceremony and reception. They apparently do customizing on wedding toppers, and all she had to do was send in photos of her and her fiance and they made the special cake topper couple. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
It turned out to be a brilliant hearts wedding cake. First there was a lovely votive candle holder and also coffee favors decorated in a groom package for the men and a bride package for the ladies, with little heart shaped coffee scoops. A very original idea for them to think of, I felt. Really, there was no shortage of awesome thoughts for the wedding. I know hearts are the a perfect choice for a Valentines Day wedding, but I was impressed with all the gorgeous decorations and accessories she found for everything. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. That could work great on a birthday cake or maybe even a graduation cake, not just a wedding cake. She told me they have supplies and decorations for many events, and promised to show me where she shopped. It was a truly unforgettable evening, and the whole wedding was what every woman dreams of. The week they’re spending in Mexico is going even better for them than the wedding did, I’m sure. When they get back home, I’m anxious to look through their pictures with them, and hear about all the fantastic things we saw and did in Mexico. The pictures she showed me on the brochures were fantastic.
