I decided that the day I got married was going to be a memorable day for everyone that was close to me. The presents and favors I got everyone were things that could be treasured for a lifetime. The gifts I bought were meant to be reminders of what an outstanding wedding day and night we had together. Eventually I got to a keepsake gift after picking out keepsake gifts. On the web, there are a ton of ideas and options for wedding and reception accessories and supplies. All of the things that I needed for my reception were there
My reception table centerpieces had flowers and scented candles surrounded by lace in a ceramic candle holder. My place card holders were adorable, and I got those on the web as well
The place card holders I decided on were beautiful beaded picture frames that the guests could all keep after the reception. I made up my mind that the people at my wedding woud get practical favors that, afterwards, would be great wedding keepsake gifts. If you’re giving a present anyway, I’ve always felt that you might as well get something that they can make use of somehow. Those kind of party favors just end up in the trash or sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust. I wanted our friends and family to have something they will hang on to and remember sharing our special day with us every time they use it. So I chose bistro coffee mugs for each of our friends and family’s gift. They attractive and you can get good use out of them, too. I bought a bunch of pretty hang tags to put on the boxes they arrived in, but the containers were so nice-looking that I just kept them in the boxes they came in.
Reception supplies and accessories were easy to find on the world wide web. The cake topper we got ‘took the cake,’ so to speak. I wanted a cake topper that had some importance to us.
We were playing football together the first time we met, in a friend’s backyard. He tried a tackle that was, let’s just say, unforgettable, so I picked out a cake topper of a bride and groom with a football. The memories of my wedding day and the day we first met are both triggered by that cake topper. [spin]I was really surprised that I had found such a novel wedding cake topper as this one was, and not only that, I also found gorgeous wedding

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009Special wedding guest books
Wednesday, May 6th, 2009Planning a wedding and reception can be a very hectic and exciting time, filled with so many options on what to choose for themes, decorations, etc. My daughter and I were planning her wedding day together and the hardest part of the whole thing was getting her to make up her mind. First she didn’t know if she wanted a themed wedding or if she would rather go with a traditional ceremony and reception. My poor daughter examined every option for the type of wedding she would have, and she was unable to select one that was right for her. At first she thought about a garden wedding, and then she considered a beach themed wedding and reception. After all the debating, she ended up with the traditional. When she eventually made that decision, it allowed us to get the preparations underway.
The church was reserved, and so was the reception hall, and all of the invitations had been sent out. The wardrobe for both the bride and the wedding party had been picked out already, so we were able to zero in on things that we’d need in order to put on the reception. There were still a couple of accessories we needed to find, like her wedding guest book and wedding album. A lot of the many wedding guest books we found had gorgeous art work on them. There were many gorgeous wedding pens to choose from too, that matched with many of the guestbooks. We still had a few items to find when my daughter ran across a six piece wedding set that had a solid white satin cover with satin bows and rhinestones. Together with a special wedding garter and unity candle were an adorable flower basket and ring pillow. A
wedding photo guest book came with it. We were so surprised to find so many beautiful wedding items all in one set for one low price. We found a photo book for the wedding where you could put little mementos and crafts. Talk about a wonderful picture book to cherish your memories with.
The last things to take care of was place card holders, a wedding cake topper, and gifts for the guests. Everything else was taken care of. She chose a lovely wedding cake topper with two doves made of glazed porcelain. The pair of doves will make an exquisite figurine that will help her memories of the wedding day last a lifetime. My girl picked out small, shiny silver picture frames to use as place card holders at the reception dinner. She thought it was neat to give the guests something they could actually use after the dinner. After looking at all of the items she selected for her ceremony and reception, I’d say she did a pretty good job of it. She’s excited about having some extra money for the honeymoon since she found such good bargains on most of the things she bought for the wedding.
The look and experience of our wedding day was a smashing success with our guests. Their first dance together made us all realize what a handsome couple this really was. I think my feet are still sore from tearing up the dance floor, but I’ll never foget what a magical night that was, and it was worth every second. With my daughter married, she may have a baby girl at some point in their lives. Well, when that day comes, I know exactly where I’ll go to get the supplies and shower favors for the baby shower I’ll throw. Whatever you’re planning a party for, that website has anything you could possibly need. As far as purchasing things on the web goes, that is my number one place to look.
Special jewelry box online!
Wednesday, May 6th, 2009Getting the products I needed for the ceremony and reception required some thought, but as I turned my attention to getting a present for my bridesmaids, it dawned on me that I had a long ways to go yet. The perfect gift for them was hard to find. I went online and there are quite a few lovely gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Narrowing it down was the big challenge. I stumbled across some wonderful low-priced thank you items as well. I also saved a lot of money on my wedding accessories, like the 8 piece wedding set that had my guestbook and pen, flower basket, ring pillow and more. That was a big savings. Buying them together rather than individually saved me a pretty penny.
I knew my bridesmaids would be thrilled if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. In fact there were a few nice wedding jewelry boxes that I could choose from. Since I was having such a hard time making up my mind on which one I wanted to order, I decided to move on to the rest of my wedding needs and get back to the thank you gifts for my girls later. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. One thing that was on my plate, so to speak, was finding a wedding cake topper, and another was picking out wedding gifts for my friends and relatives, so I paid attention to those two next. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. Normally, I would have gotten some containers for the chrome openers, but the boxes they came in were so adorable that I just went with those. My man got the groomsmen a neat little multi-purpose tool that had a tiny scissors and a toothpick and all kinds of weird gadgets.
We got a cake topper of pair of newly weds locked in a loving embrace. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. I had put it off while I took care of buying the rest of the supplies we’d need, but it was time at last to select a gift for the women standing up in my wedding. I did go with leather jewelry boxes for each of them, and also bought a piece of special wedding jewelry to put inside. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It was just perfect for them even though it probably sounds like a bit much. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. I also got a some pearl wedding jewelry for myself, and wore it in my wedding ceremony. There were some awesome bargains on very elegant jewelry items. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My groom’s brother caught the garter, and my sister, who’s also not dating anyone, managed to grab the bouquet. Might something come of it? Who knows, maybe one day they will be in our spot and my sister would then be my sister in law as well, that’s really weird. Anything is possible!

Cute little first curl and first tooth containers are an outstanding choice, in my opinion. These lovely little silver plated boxes make great gifts for the mom to have as keepsakes. Many have a lining inside, usually pink for girls and blue for boys. Those small, unique things are what you want to always have a memory of, like the child’s footprints and handprints. Smaller gifts are wonderful, even though a lot of guests will want to give something like a crib or a stroller. You can insist on getting a good present and still find plenty cheap baby shower gifts to choose from. Some products are always needed by moms with a newborn. It’s pretty common that a number of guests will buy shoes or shirts or some kind of clothing for the infant as opposed to buying a larger, more costly present. All these gifts a new mother will surely need and use.
The best baby shower gifts are often the ones you utilize every single day, like diapers, a diaper bag, or a baby carrier. Shopping for wedding candles
Sunday, May 3rd, 2009There are so many options for wedding favors for friends and family attending your ceremony and reception. You can choose from a variety of picture frame place card holders, whimsical little novelty gifts for beach themes and others, and many more selections of gifts. I chose to go with candle wedding favors because they are very decorative, and you can get a lot of use out of a gift like that. I found just the right wedding favor boxes I wanted to use and I also ordered special hang tags for each.
I also bought lovely wedding candles, just to add to the décor of all my reception tables. They really looked nice with all the other decorations and the lovely centerpieces I got from the florist. It’s not just weddings that have the candle gifts for, graduations, birthdays and many other themed events had candle party favors to choose from, and a really nice candle wedding favor for bridal shower parties too. But there’s a lot more that candles and wedding favors at the place I shop at for wedding accessories.
With all the accessories necessary for a nice wedding and reception, I was really lucky to find a nice five piece accessory set, which included my guestbook, wedding pen set, ring pillow and bridal garter and a really gorgeous little flower girl basket. Buying it in a set was less expensive than buying each piece individually. They carry a lot of discount accessories and supplies, like wholesale candles wedding favors and many other products for ceremonies and receptions.
Our wedding cake topper was really spectacular and it didn’t cost near as much as we expected a customized cake topper would cost. This lovely cake topper was a bride and groom figurine that were exact replicas of me and my fiance, and our guests were really astonished. All I had to do was send them a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they did the rest. The three tiered chocolate wedding cake we had made was just gorgeous and was decorated with all red and pink flowers surrounding it. Right beside our lucsious chocolate perfection was the most gorgeous cake knife serving set I’ve ever seen, and I insisted on buying this lovely calla lily set.
The crystal flutes we got for our friends and family were for them to keep and we ordered special bride and groom flutes for our bridal table. There was no point in keeping them, what would I do with 200 champagne flutes? With our guestbook with all the signatures, our gorgeous picture album, our very unique wedding cake topper and so much more, we really didn’t need much else for keepsakes. One of the items in our five piece wedding set was the claret colored wedding guestbook with guest sign in pages, a place to list the gifts we received and a special spot for those little momentos. I think the guest book is important, not only to have everyones’ name that attended, but for later use when you are filling out thank you notes. You don’t want to say, ‘thank you for your gift’, when you could mention the item they bought for you, so they know you care.
A few of the guests commented on what unique candle wedding favors we gave them and they really seemed to appreciate them. Looks like a made a wise choice in wedding favors. Everyone also told me what a great time they were having at the reception, and as we were leaving they all gave us their best wishes for a happy life. This was truly one of the most unforgettable days in my life.
Shopping for new wedding party favor?
Sunday, May 3rd, 2009Things sure have changed since my wedding day, especially the fantastic accessories and reception supplies available. It’s amazing what is out there and the variety you can choose from. Beach party weddings can be one of the most fantastic ceremonies with seashells and starfish to help decorate with. Just researching you could find great ideas for a summer or spring wedding. I saw gorgeous new wedding collections for all seasons. The season that was amazing was the winter season because of all the Christmas colors and decorations you can add to your reception. You would be surprised how many people have weddings in the winter and have it outside. I thought to myself having a winter wedding outside would be gorgeous in one sense, and a little weird in the other, not to mention how cold it would be. If I were planning a wedding it would have to be indoors and not outside in the cold. To me you should plan a wedding in the winter at a resort that has all the amenities to help everybody stay warm.
Autumn is a beautiful time of the year and my favorite, and it would be a great time to have a wedding. With all the gorgeous colors and the pumpkins, gourds and just the fresh clean smell in the air, the fall season seems to me to be the best season for a wedding. When I got married, a long, long time ago, about the only options we had, was the traditional wedding, a justice of the peace or elopement. Today there are so many various weddings you can plan, that you can have the wedding you always wanted. There are even destination weddings, where you have a few close friends and family go along to the location of your choice for you ceremony. It’s like having a family elopement. There are also a great new wedding party favor selection, from everything from traditional to destination weddings that you can buy for your reception.
Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. I would of never guessed that a country western wedding would be so great until I helped my daughter plan hers. My daughter found all the western accessories to plan her wedding and make it a success. They’re really quite unique looking. She’s set up a country band, barbecue grills and hay bales that will be part of the party decor. There will be lights and lanterns strung throughout the reception, giving it that western look. She bought cute little cowboy hats to use as place card holders and added wildflowers in little watering cans as the centerpieces. To my surprise they planned to rent a western ranch for the wedding. She ordered quite a few wedding accessories online that will go perfectly with the country western theme. She also purchased cowboy hats for herself and her groom and the most terrific new weddings for her guests.
Instead of a normal reception it is looking more like a family get together that has hayrides and outdoor grills. It sounds like it will be a fantastic time for all the guests. They even planned to have some country western line dancing in the barn. Now that I knew what to expect I decided to get all the western gear, like blue jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats so I can participate in all the fun. This wedding is going to be the wedding of the year and probably won’t be forgotten for a long time. Our daughter’s wedding was so much fun, that I’m considering have a country western renewal ceremony and reception for our anniversary.
