Getting the products I needed for the ceremony and reception required some thought, but as I turned my attention to getting a present for my bridesmaids, it dawned on me that I had a long ways to go yet. The perfect gift for them was hard to find. I went online and there are quite a few lovely gifts for bridesmaids and all that attend the reception. Narrowing it down was the big challenge. I stumbled across some wonderful low-priced thank you items as well. I also saved a lot of money on my wedding accessories, like the 8 piece wedding set that had my guestbook and pen, flower basket, ring pillow and more. That was a big savings. Buying them together rather than individually saved me a pretty penny.
I knew my bridesmaids would be thrilled if I got them an elegant jewelry box, and I found just that while I was perusing through the thank you gifts. In fact there were a few nice wedding jewelry boxes that I could choose from. Since I was having such a hard time making up my mind on which one I wanted to order, I decided to move on to the rest of my wedding needs and get back to the thank you gifts for my girls later. I had almost everything I needed for the ceremony, but there was a few more things I needed to pick out for my reception. One thing that was on my plate, so to speak, was finding a wedding cake topper, and another was picking out wedding gifts for my friends and relatives, so I paid attention to those two next. I opted for a bride and groom salt and pepper shaker set and a bottle opener made to look like doves that had a beautiful chrome finish. Normally, I would have gotten some containers for the chrome openers, but the boxes they came in were so adorable that I just went with those. My man got the groomsmen a neat little multi-purpose tool that had a tiny scissors and a toothpick and all kinds of weird gadgets.
We got a cake topper of pair of newly weds locked in a loving embrace. I looked at several different styles, and almost bought the monogram cake topper with silver brushed initials and crystals, but I fell for the embracing couple instead. I had put it off while I took care of buying the rest of the supplies we’d need, but it was time at last to select a gift for the women standing up in my wedding. I did go with leather jewelry boxes for each of them, and also bought a piece of special wedding jewelry to put inside. What I found for them was a shimmering rhinestone bracelet. It was just perfect for them even though it probably sounds like a bit much. I kept some money in my pocket by getting discount wedding jewelry that was very pretty, and there was much selection. I also got a some pearl wedding jewelry for myself, and wore it in my wedding ceremony. There were some awesome bargains on very elegant jewelry items. The girls really loved their thank you gifts and I guess the guys were happy with what my fiance chose for them too.
It turned out to be the best day of my life and we all had such a great time at the reception. My groom’s brother caught the garter, and my sister, who’s also not dating anyone, managed to grab the bouquet. Might something come of it? Who knows, maybe one day they will be in our spot and my sister would then be my sister in law as well, that’s really weird. Anything is possible!
